What is the difference between Free and Pro?

Section titled “What is the difference between Free and Pro?”

Free: unlimited translation, 40 dictionary lookups, 2 AI explanations, 10 chat turns and 40 pronunciations per day. Pro: unlimited translation, 300 dictionary lookups, 30 AI explanations, 100 chat turns and 300 pronunciations per day. Each time a word or sentence is read aloud counts as one pronunciation (in a review session, each word counts once). Both include My words, example sentences, readings and listening practice. There is also a monthly fair-use limit, shown as a percentage in the Plan tab: dictionary, pronunciation, example sentences, readings, chat and AI use it up together. When it reaches 100%, these features pause until the next month; translation keeps working. Pro has a much larger monthly allowance than Free. Pro costs $3.99 per month or $19.99 per year (about 58% less than paying monthly). You can see today’s usage in the Plan tab.

Daily limits reset at midnight in your own time zone (the one set on your computer). Your review schedule and day streak use the same day, so everything starts fresh at your midnight. When you reach a limit, the Plan tab opens and shows how to upgrade; on the Free plan you can also simply come back after the reset. Translation itself has no daily limit.

Open the Plan tab, choose monthly or yearly, then pay with the PayPal button. You can pay with a PayPal account or with a debit or credit card through PayPal. Pro starts right after the payment is approved, and the Plan tab shows PRO. Pro belongs to the Google account you are signed in with in Google Docs.

Close the sidebar and open it again (Extensions > Docs Paragraph Translate > Start), then open the Plan tab: if the payment went through, Pro is usually restored automatically. If it still says Free, click “Already paid? Restore your purchase” under the PayPal buttons (if you just paid, wait a minute first). Make sure you are using the same Google account you upgraded with; if several Google accounts are signed in, try a browser window with only that account. If it is still Free, contact us through dpt.vietutd.com with your PayPal subscription ID (it starts with I-).

It says the subscription belongs to another Google account

Section titled “It says the subscription belongs to another Google account”

Each Pro subscription is linked to the Google account that bought it and cannot be shared. Sign in to Google Docs with the account you used when you paid. For another account, buy a separate subscription from that account.

Open the Plan tab in the sidebar and click “Cancel subscription”, then “Yes, cancel”. This works whether you paid with a card or with a PayPal account; you do not need a PayPal account. Automatic renewal stops right away, you will not be charged again, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for (the Plan tab shows “Cancelled · Pro until …”). Make sure you are signed in to Google Docs with the same Google account you upgraded with. If you have a PayPal account, you can also cancel at paypal.com > Settings > Payments > Manage automatic payments.

Please contact us through dpt.vietutd.com with your PayPal subscription ID (it starts with I-) and the reason, and we will look into it.

I bought the old $5.55 per year plan. What happens to it?

Your existing subscription keeps working and now gives you the Pro plan, including AI explanations, for as long as it stays active. You don’t need to do anything.
